PRCD Remebers Board Member and Friend
On December 19, 2008 the PRCD lost a board member and friend. Ray Winsor was taken from this world after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. Ray served on the Board of Supervisors for 16 years, striving to conserve agriculture, improve water quality, and protect wildlife habitat for future generations. He had a drive in him to help educate others on conservation practices, not only through the District, but through his business -Powder River Ag Services. Though Ray is gone ,his legacy with the PRCD will not be forgotten, and those of us that are left to follow in his footstep, will continue the conservation efforts he began.
Ray was not only a dedicated board member, but a valuable member of the “Conservation Family” and Kaycee community member. He served as the Area I Councilman for the Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts, Chairman for the Harold Jarrard Park Board, and was a member of the United States Team Roping Championships and the Montana Team Roping Association.
He will be greatly missed by everyone here at the Powder River Conservation District. Someone like Ray can never be replaced, but we can follow his example, and help leave the world a better place.
